Upgrade from TurboPrint 1.x
TurboPrint 2 can be directly installed without uninstalling TurboPrint 1.x - printer setup from TurboPrint 1.x will be retained. For full functionality of the printer status monitor, USB printers should be deleted and added again with selection of the TurboPrint USB backend "TPU" in the TurboPrint configuration menu.
Downgrade from TurboPrint 2 to TurboPrint 1.x
Before installing the previous version TurboPrint 1.x you have to uninstall TurboPrint 2beta - use the option "Uninstall" in the TurboPrint 2 installation program.
The executable files have been linked dynamically and require the GTK+ 2.0 libraries which should be present on all current Linux distributions.
